I think we must have uttered this phrase hundreds of times in the last two weeks because, well, it really is all coming together. Check out this progress…
Lots o’ lighting! Our fabulous orb chandelier has been hung in the dining room. I’m so in love with it!
And our pendent lights above the kitchen counter.
The last of the radiators have been painted and moved into position. This is definitely the gem of the bunch. So much detail. It’s just lovely. Thanks to Dad for sandblasting years of paint and grime off it and Mum for painting it up so pretty!
Trim has gone in above our IKEA cabinets to give them such a custom look. We used Benjamin Moore’s Simply White in a pearl finish and it really is a perfect match to the IKEA white.
Our kitchen faucet is in place and the hot water has been turned on for the first time in 5 months!
And finally- a huge piece to the puzzle of ‘when are we moving in.’ Our floors have been sanded and stained. Here’s Dad working hard on the front foyer. The stain is Minwax Jacobean. It looks absolutely gorgeous with the beautiful wood grain in the Brazilian Cherry. The whole house looks so much richer with the contrast of the white trim and dark floors.
