Happy 11.12.13!

I wonder if anyone’s getting married today? I know getting married on 10.11.12 certainly helps with remembering our anniversary! And speaking of our wedding… as you know one of my favorite decorating themes is rustic luxe and it’s also a huge trend for parties. So break out the burlap and mason jars because here are some of my favorite rustic luxe party ideas.

I use kraft paper for all sorts of things but one of my favorites is for a table runner. Either decorate with dots and designs like below, or draw your own place settings, or label the name of the dish you’re serving. And best of all, easy clean up!

Mason jars are unavoidable these days. They are just too cute. Use them as drinking glasses, centerpieces, lighting fixtures, vases, or hostess gifts. Really anything goes.

Log slices aren’t just for lumberjacks anymore. We had one at every table at our wedding similar to the centerpiece below and also as a tier cupcake stand. I love the idea of reusing them as chargers or hot plates.

Because Renovations Deserve Celebrations

It’s happening! We’re officially having our housewarming. I have so many ideas and just like the renovation, I know exactly what I want to do. No one has ever called me indecisive. My saint of a husband is along for the ride so long as their will be food and yes, there will be food. But a casual cocktail party with appetizers and drinks and yummy desserts. We’ve invited quite a lot of people so the race to complete some projects is on!

While we work diligently this week, I’ll be converting the blog to party planner central! I have a lot of experience planning corporate and client events- plus a certain wedding last year- so hopefully my tips and my fellow bloggers tips will help you with all your holiday entertaining this season! Cheers!
