The Week in Review | January 6-10

Boy oh boy do bloggers make resolutions! Seemed like every post this week was about thoughts on the new year. Perhaps we’re just a more reflective bunch than most. But when we weren’t rattling off resolutions, there were some other fabulous posts to kick off 2014!

Week in Review

  1. I don’t think there’s anything that makes a space look nicer than fresh flowers. Lauren fromĀ A Fabulous Fete demonstrates how to create a simple arrangement.
  2. Melissa from the Inspired Room wants to help us all get out the door a little better in the morning by showing us the importance of a morning routine. I’m all about routine and I can’t wait until mine includes a sweet little desk nook in the kitchen!
  3. The cookbook of the month for Danielle at Sometimes Sweet is this stunning natural foods book calledĀ Super Natural Everyday. Just a bonus that it’s written by a fellow Swanson!
  4. I love this cocoa bar that Stephanie at Brooklyn Limestone set up for her daughter’s first birthday party. If you need to fill your cuteness quota for the day, check out the last photos of the post of the birthday girl in a white sweater dress and swede booties!
  5. Very impressed with this simple DIY from Mandi at Vintage Revivals. These minimal pendants are so hot right now. To get the look, Mandi stripped some ugly lampshades and sprayed their wire frames with a cool copper. Brilliant!
